Hi! I am Tijn Smits, a PhD Candidate in Philosophy at the University of Amsterdam.

I have wide-ranging interests across theoretical and practical, and systematic and historical philosophy.

I am especially driven by a curiosity towards the foundations of moral philosophy and the justification of moral judgments.

 

I typically approach these questions from a Kantian framework, with projects focusing on moral epistemology, climate ethics, and the ethics of belief.
